Woven Strand Software is an independent studio in Washington state with one job: building tools for writers. The name comes from Norse cosmology, where the Norns sit at the well beneath the world tree and weave the threads of every life into fate. It is the right image for software built to hold a long project together. Many strands. One shape. Visible only when the work is done.
The studio's first product is Norn, a Mac-first writing application for novelists and long-form writers who want their drafts, notes, and structure in one place. It runs on your machine, syncs through your own iCloud, and asks nothing of the web or of AI. The words are yours. The tool just holds the thread.
